Woodruff Elementary

When my dad told me about going to this school, he mentioned there was one class for grades first through sixth.  It felt like "little house on the prairie" (too bad we don't have pictures of the inside with old desks, chalk boards (something my kids might not ever see in their schooling) and the corner for the bad kid with the "dunce" hat.  Of course this is just my imagination of  school in Woodruff!

Woodruff School.
(Frank U. Frazier attended school in this building.  Glenn Frazier 1916 to 1927.

  1. I assume Mother made the dress I'm wearing in this picture; it was red wool. The other girl on the front row is Judy Reese. The girls behind me on the top row are Judy Mowers and Kathy Rufi. One year, not long before Susan passed, she and I went to Randolph at Fair time and spent the night with Aunt Flora. The next morning we attended Relief Society at the Randolph Ward. Judy Reese Jackson was the teacher. Kathy Rufi is our cousin and lived on the Livestock Ranch near Evanston. Her father Harvy Rufi was daddy's cousin, and her mother Mary Rex Rufi was mother's cousin.
